Vanessa Kerry, MD, MSc is the CEO of Seed Global Health which invests in the power of health to transform countries and communities. Through investments in the health workforce as a source of job creation and resiliency, Seed helps to empower countries to tackle their diverse and growing health burdens and establish a platform for economic growth, peace and security. Working closely with government, Seed also supports public policy reform to ensure lasting and equitable impact of those investments. Over the past 6 years, Seed has helped train thousands of health professionals, care for hundreds of thousands of patients and has developed a waiting list of countries. Published in the New York Times, the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, BMJ and other venues, her work has examined how foreign engagement can better strengthen global well being, health and prosperity and enhance country agency. She graduated with honors from Yale University and Harvard Medical School, completing her clinical training at Mass General. She has a Master’s in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing from the London Schools of Economics and of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is the mother of two.
